Following the release of No Wine For Kittens anticipated debut EP Not Ready Yet the outfit has laid low, which isn’t totally out of the ordinary, as flying under the radar appears to be somewhat of pass-time for this group.

However, four-fifths of the band (Andy Bova, Emily Whitt, John Stahon, and Justin Borneman) has returned under the new moniker Dentist, with a new single titled “Bird In A Cage,” and a new, more aggressive, fuzz-coated and cavernous Surf-Rock sound that features Whitt on lead vocals and hovers about the Indie-Rock spectrum nearest Best Coast’s dreamy dwellings.

Stream the SIMGEssential below and stay tuned for more announcements concerning the release of the band’s debut EP, and a coinciding show to celebrate that release, which is slated to be out this Summer.
