“There’s a certain festival coming up around this area,” teased Pete Weiland, front-man of the Brooklyn-based A Great Big Pile Of Leaves.

“BAMBOOZLE!!!” screamed out an enthusiastic female patron of Asbury’s premier 10-pin penthouse and music locale on Friday evening.

“We’re not supposed to say anything yet,” continued the Indie-Rock crooner and axe-wielder, “but since you’re all here, and we’re all here…yeah, that’s probably happening.”

And with that semi-admission of Bamboozle inclusion it appears the festival’s brass have not finished adding to an already grandiose lineup for its 10th anniversary edition of Jersey’s own musical summertime romp, which returns to the Boardwalk on May 18th.

A Great Big Pile Of Leaves cruised through an 11-song set including a series of standouts from its breakthrough 2010 debut full-length Have You Seen My Prefrontal Cortex?, as well as a melodious new tune titled “Pet Mouse,” which bass plucker Tucker Yaro announced would be showing up on a brand new 7-inch this Summer on Matador Records.

In support was Mansions and local Ambient-Rock collective Athletics.  The latter will be releasing an enigmatic collection of music sometime in the near future at lengths unknown.  Check out the band’s second video preview of the record below:
