Surprise! You thought you were going to make it through Indigenous Peoples Day without some kind of excitement (outside of respecting the rights of original settlers). This Friday, October 17th we’ll be unveiling the 1st Annual NJ 24 Hour Songwriting Challenge Compilation right here at Speak Into My Good Eye.

The full comp features dozens of awesome tracks all by NJ artists. The whole she-bang will be downloadable on a pay what you want model, with a minimum suggested donation of $5. All proceeds go to benefit the Monmouth & Ocean County Arts Councils.

We would also like to invite everyone to come celebrate with us this weekend. On Friday, 10/17 we’ll be at The Orwells / SKATERS show happening at Asbury Lanes and on Saturday, 10/18 we’ll be officially co-presenting JEFF the Brotherhood / Diarrhea Planet at Brighton Bar along with the Aftermath Collective. Come say hi and meet some of the other peeps on the comp!

So look for the a big ol release this Friday and, what the hell, stream an exclusive first taste of what to expect below.
