Austin, TX songstress Arum Rae will be taking her sultry vocals and experimental Rock concoctions on the road in May and will insert her soulful style into the heart of the great Garden State’s cultural hubs with stops slated for Maxwell’s in Hoboken on May 7th, with a cover of $10 to be paid at the door, and a successive performance at The Saint in Asbury Park on May 10th featuring Kiirstin Marilyn with a cover of $12.
Rae’s sporadic shifts in tone, agression, and affects allows the seductive siren to operate in multiple musical realms and has attracted an all-star roster of recent stage partners that includes such revered artists and outfits as The Black Keys, Peter Bjorn & John, and Gary Clark Jr. Rae even co-wrote the song “If I Didn’t Know Better,” with The Civil Wars’ John Paul White, which got picked up by the ABC’s Nashville, and has since climbed the charts.
Experience Rae’s diverse artistic tendencies by streaming her haunting 2012 SXSW performance of “Heaven”, as well as her 2012 EP Waving Wild, below:
