Chances are you’re likely familiar with the Australian indie-rock duo Atlas Genius as the result of their runaway success single “Trojans”. After spending the last four months on a non-stop tour of the U.S. with groups like Silversun Pickups, Wolf Gang and Animal Kingdom, the band is preparing the release of their heavily anticipated full length first effort. Fresh off of signing with Warner Bros., Atlas Genius announced today that they will follow up their Through The Glass EP with When It Was Now on 2/19.

The tracks that will comprise the band’s debut were all recorded in relative isolation in the twosome’s hometown as the hype machine passed “Trojans” through the proper channels. Atlas Genius’ impending success ramped up largely unbeknownst to the group as they seemingly completed the larger thought they were hoping to achieve minus the pressure of big label backing.

Atlas Genius will wrap 2012 with a sold-out headlining show at Los Angeles’ Troubadour on 12/11,  and make their U.S. television debut performing “Trojans” on Jimmy Kimmel Live on 12/12.
