It’s no secret that New Jersey’s underground music scene is one that operates in a deceptive manner to elude any authority figures taking notes on the antics of the Boston PD, and the Backyard Campout ’13 Festival is practicing under those same guidelines.

On July 13th and 14th such Garden State favorites as Batten Down The Hatches, The Waffle Stompers, A Clever Con, Decrepit Youth, Frances Jones & The Saviors, and many more will descend upon a backyard of lengthy proportions housed at an unknown location for a weekend of camping, art, music, and all you can eat food for a mere $5 fee.

Also on the bill is the event’s curators Backyard Superheroes, Brookfield, No Such Noise!, Turning Down Harvard, Tam, The Stolen, Oceansend, Shadowplay, We’re Ghosts Now, Mildly Medicated, Franchise, The Fifth Down, All Male Revue, The Open Minds, Whatever’s Clever, The Hopeless Carrion, and You Knights.

As well as yoga and other physical art demonstrations the event will also be a platform for visual artists to showcase their work, bonfires to be lit, and vision quests to be had. Find more information, including how you can unearth the location of Backyard Campout ’13 here.
