Big Wilson River Drops Three New Demos, Playing Asbury Lanes This Month

Chris Rotolo June 13, 2012 News No Comments

The Northern New Jersey-based Thrash-Folk collective, Big Wilson River, and owners of The Octopus LP, a collection of music akin to that of Modest Mouse and Man Man that landed at number 24 on SIMGE’s Top 25 Albums of 2011 list, has returned with three new demos for an EP slated to drop sometime this month.

In comparison, the demos sound less like the previous influences mentioned as the Darrin Bradbury-fronted group continues to carve out its own brand in this vast artistic soundscape, but are just as enjoyable…check out the sizzling axe-driven “Astronaut” below, the rest of the demos here, and be sure to scope out Big Wilson River with Roadside Graves, The Abmoys, and Alex Biese, on June 30th at Asbury Lanes.

“It’s gonna be nuts,” said Biese of this showcase.  “Big Wilson River and the Graves are two of my favorite bands in general, not just locally, so this is a show I would be totally psyched for even if I wasn’t playing it.”

Doors open at 8 p.m. with a cover of $10 to be paid upon admission.
