Blacktop Kids Release New Tunes, Playing Pouzza Fest In Montreal

Monroe, NJ’s Blacktop Kids are currently prepping a forthcoming EP titled Complex, an album that was recorded at Little Eden Studios in Asbury Park with The Bouncing Souls legendary axe wielder Pete Steinkopf, the second collection of tunes the outfit has cut with The Pete at the helm.

The band recently dropped another taste of what’s to come in “The Pact,” (Blacktop Kids revealed “Streetlights” earlier this year) a made for basements rage-tune which welds Max Giaccone’s charred croon to a series of instrumental savagery fronted by Sam Maynard’s circular six-string fight riff, a combination sure to quake New Brunswick’s underground music scene to its foundations.

Check out the track below and, if you have the means, head out to Pouzza Fest in Montreal where Blacktop Kids will share a lineup card with the likes of Less Than Jake, The Bouncing Souls, Mikey Erg, The Menzingers, Suicide Machines, Tim Barry, Hot Water Music, The Flatliners, and a lot more.  A mere $65 for a three-day pass can’t really be beaten.  Grab tickets here.

NOTE: Giaccone recently announced the creation of his brand new label 90Five Records.  Scope it out and spread the word.
