Brick+Mortar Drops A New Single, “Bangs,” New 7-Inch Due Out Next Month

Last month SIMGE broke the news that Asbury’s own Indie-Rock duo, Brick+Mortar, was planning the release of a limited edition 7-inch release on MAD Dragon and Boombox Generation Records for project curated by Motion City Soundtrack…and the A-side of this forthcoming piece of vinyl has finally arrived.

“Bangs” was premiered last month during the band’s homecoming gig at Asbury Lanes, and thanks to the heavy hammered percussion provided by John Tacon, an electrically charged underbelly, and a repetitively rounded refrain in which Brandon Asraf and his assemblage of adoring homegrown backup singers crooned in unison, the tune was a major highlight of the evening causing the near capacity sea of humanity to toss forth huge swells primed for the riotous crowd surfers within.

The Bear’s), Philadelphia (Union Transfer), and New York City (Bowery Ballroom).
