Shady Street Show Band

Where there is a local stage that is in desperate need of a theatrical soul injection, there is The Shady Street Show Band. Stationed in the heart of Red Bank with regular runs at Jamians, the multi-talented, eclectic group have gone through a number of different modes of thinking in formulating their long awaited formal debut LP.

The Shady Street Show Band most recently paid tribute to the good ol U S of fuckin’ A with their righteous, raucous anthem “Beer, BBQ, and Blowin’ Shit Up”, accompanied by a fiery video. To gain a little further insight into where the band’s collective head is at following their latest single, I caught up with them in the back room of Wonder Bar following their headlining set at Happy Mondays.

Check out another one of our famous Candid Chats below and don’t miss The Shady Street Show Band as they highlight the 4th annual Soulsational Festival on July 26th.
