EdTang & The Chops

It’s been a hot minute since we last heard from EdTang & The Chops. Since releasing a self-titled EP back in May of 2014, The Chops made the call to go out on their own terms with different life developments pulling them in different directions.

With that, we have Magic Tricks & Rolling Stone, the forthcoming posthumous album from EdTang & The Chops. Speak Into My Good Eye is happy to host the exclusive premiere of the video for single “The Chops” today.

In “The Chops,” the band works up a fiery bar room rocker with the lyrics set to inspire anyone who has ever had a dream or been passionate about something bigger than themselves.

Ed further shares:

“First and foremost a very very special thank you to all the photographers that made this video possible: Matt Catalano, Scott Brash, Kevin Mahoney, Connie Freestone, YouDontKnowJersey.com, Ron Williams, Jeff Crespi, Cynthia Tedesco, Rob Grieb, Musicians on a Mission, Kelsey Windas, Erica Bock, Joshua Stewart, and Kris Wood.

Music Produced by Paul Ritchie.

Video Produced by BJ Maier who is the creator of the new comedy web series, ‘Diddlisquat’ that is currently releasing an episode a week, with Episode 4 due early July. You can watch episodes 1-3 on their website http://www.diddlisquat.com.

This song, ‘The Chops,’ pays homage to what it means to be in a band. The bond formed by playing on stage, completely present and alive in the moment, and the ability to share that feeling of euphoria with others is incomparable. It’s a nod to the collective dream of making a living through artistic expression and a mutual refusal to waive the white flag of surrender in the face of overwhelming odds.”

Watch EdTang & The Chops in “The Chops” below and look for Magic Tricks & Rolling Stone out July 4th physically and July 18th digitally.
