Exclusive Premiere: Evolfo Shares “Bloody Bloody Knife” // New EP Out Now

I think we’ve all experienced the healing power of Rock ‘N Roll, but Brooklyn garage-soul group Evolfo take that notion to a higher level with their new video for “Bloody Bloody Knife.” Speak Into My Good Eye is happy to host the exclusive premiere of the Tommy-esque visual companion today.

The raucous, dark, sinister brew that is “Bloody Bloody Knife” comes off of Evolfo’s just released EP, Last of the Acid Cowboys, with a west coast tour in support kicking off today in Portland. The track bristles with a warm-psych-soul energy as the band work through some good old fashioned fun garage riffing and more complex instrumental figures.

Matt Gibbs (guitar/vocals):

“My brother Sam and I decided to make the ‘Bloody Knife’ video on a spastic whim. In the past I’ve made music for plays he’s directed and so this time he directed a video for my music. It reminded me of how we used to make stupid stop motion videos and stuff when we were kids. He has always been really creative and I wanted to sap some of his energy to make a fun video to accompany this song. We’re definitely going to make more videos together for the album.”
