Over the years, we’ve been enamored with the work of Crystal Shipsss, the artist moniker of Copenhagen-based songwriter Jacob Faurholt. Stepping out under his own proper name, Faurholt is prepping the release of LP, Super Glue, out this upcoming January.

Speak Into My Good Eyes is happy to host the exclusive premiere of single “Future Wife” below.

The glistening track features a mid-tempo, smokey shoegaze sound with Faurholt’s world weary delivery channeling more J. Mascis than Robert Smith. The romanticism of the latter still shines through, though, despite the subject matter.

Faurholt shares, “Super Glue is basically a break up album. It’s a record that deals with the emotions that follow, when you have to say goodbye to a person you have shared a big part of your life with. But it’s also a record that comes to terms with the madness and points forward. “Future Wife” is an example of that.”

Stream Jacob Faurholt’s “Future Wife” below and look for Super Glue out January 22nd, 2016.
