With the final LP from These Branches still in the offing, guitarist Nick Hertzberg has been moving full steam ahead with Like-Minded. Formed in late 2014 in Hertzberg’s garage, the band has risen steadily in the NJ live scene with Cait Darcy (rhythm guitar/vocals) and Ryan Mortola (drums) rounding out the now trio as Paul Lewis (bass) departed this past October.

Like-Minded will ring in what is sure to be an even busier year in 2016 with the release of their debut, self-titled EP. As heard live on Jersey Rock, Speak Into My Good Eye has the exclusive premiere of single “Get Sick” below now available for digital streaming.

On “Get Sick,” Darcy calls out a callous lover with biting lyrical wordplay as the bluesy, smoky stomp of the rhythm section and swell of keys sets up Hertzberg’s searing soloing.

The band shares:

“Get Sick” is the last song we wrote for the album and appears as the last song on the album (they are in sequence of how we wrote them). It represents, of all the songs, the direction our new material is headed in the most.

Stream Like-Minded’s “Get Sick” below and look for the EP out January 1st.

Upcoming Like-Minded Shows:

January 14th @ Friendship Mountain, Egg Harbor Twp. NJ
January 23rd @ Gallery 1603, Surf City, NJ
