Despite only coming into existence in the middle of 2016, San Francisco-based rockers Mendonesia have already buffed out plenty of kinks. With two west coast tours and a SXSW run in their rearview, founder Tom Conneely and Daniel Lavezzo emerged as the group’s remaining members taking this past Summer to record a debut LP, Spirit Van.

Speak Into My Good Eye is happy to host the exclusive premiere of the album’s latest single, “Silver Lining,” today. On the track, Mendonesia crafts a warm, guitar-led atmosphere with a country twang. The track takes off around the 1:40 mark as some raucous soloing flies over the top of the band’s pop-minded song structure.

“‘Silver Lining’ is a song about having not a whole lot going on in your life,” shares Conneely. “Not a lot to say and not a lot to do. It sort of attests to a window of time in which not a lot was happening creatively, mentally or emotionally for me in general. I think everyone kind of feels like that sometimes.”

Stream Mendonesia’s “Silver Lining” below and look for Spirit Van out March 12th, 2018.
