Since forming in 2015, pre-post-rockers Mustardmind have been a pretty regular fixture in the NYC live indie music scene. With only a split single to their credit so far, the band is now readying the releaese of the Peep EP due out November 4th.

Today, Speak Into My Good Eye is happy to host the exclusive premiere of the EP’s latest single, “Glitch.” On the track, Mustardmind rides atop complex grooves and rhythms as the guitars set up an unsettled atmosphere moving from quick stabs to angular lead lines.

Bobby Lewis (guitar/lead vox) shares:

“Typically, the rule of thumb with songwriting is that the best songs write themselves; that wasn’t the case with ‘Glitch’ at all. It took me more than a year to hash it out.

Despite what should have been a recipe for a dud, I’ve always thought of ‘Glitch’ as a labor of love instead of an unnatural monster. The song has become one of my favorites to play and there should be a music video for it coming up in the near future.”

Mustardmind Tour Dates:

11/4 at The Bowery Electric – New York, NY
11/9 at Gold Sounds – Brooklyn, NY
12/3 at Berlin (release show) – New York, NY
12/13 at Sunnyvale – Brooklyn, NY
