It’s been exactly a year to the day since Asbury Park’s resident ruling hard rockers The Battery Electric dropped their second LP, The Heart and The Thrill. A lot has changed in their home scene since then, including the closing of Asbury Lanes and the opening of the House Of Independents.
As the winds of change continue to swirl in Asbury Park, The Battery Electric remains one of the stronger constants as they continue to pump out righteous, ripping jams as they continue to ascend and gain notoriety in the US and abroad. The boys of Battery have also opened up for some of their legendary heroes in the past year, most recently warming up the House Of Independents crowd for The Dictators back in late February.
Now, The Battery Electric are gearing up to release a new EP, Lose Control. Speak Into My Good Eye is happy to present the exclusive premiere of the video for EP track, “Holiday In Heaven,” below. Shot live during their opening set for The Dictators, “Holiday In Heaven” sees The Battery Electric crafting another barn storming rager featuring some of the finest riffing and soloing by Brent Bergholm to date.
“It’s a pretty standard Chuck Berry style Rock ‘N Roll tune,” shares Ron Santee. “I have my ideas of what the song means to me, I like to leave it up the listener to make up a scenario in their own mind of what it means to them. To me it focuses on watching a lot of my friends struggle with addiction.”
Watch The Battery Electric rock the House Of Independents in “Holiday In Heaven” below and look for their new EP out later this Spring.
