Formerly known at The Cahoots, Bryan Wood (lead vocals, guitars), Andrew Lawler (drums), Anthony Marino (bass) and new recruit Tyler Viet (guitars) are now readying the charge of a fresh creative energy. Now known as Wicked Hollow, the Manchester, NJ-based quartet combine stoke the coals of blues inspired contemporaries such as Cage the Elephant, Alabama Shakes and The Black Keys.
The name change came during the mixing stages of forthcoming EP, Resolution/Revolution, heralding a bit of artistic catharsis looking out towards the future. Speak Into My Good Eye has the exclusive premiere of lead single, “Revolution,” below.
In a statement offered by Wicked Hollow they share, “Resolution/Revolution is an introspective studio effort that takes shape from the influence of creative spontaneity and the urgency to say what’s on your mind without holding back. Wood hails Resolution/Revolution as a transitional record that focuses on progressive topics like, ‘Standing up for what you believe in, and hoping for a change.'”
“Revolution” runs the full gamut of modern, hard nosed indie rock with plenty of soul and hard charging riffs to make heads bop and beers seem even more refreshing. Just don’t offer one to the band, they’re not quite of age yet, which says quite a lot about the potential we’re looking at here.
