According to the owner of The Boardwalk’s most storied house of music, Kyle Brendle, due to impending thunder and lightning storms rolling through the area, night one of The Stone Pony’s Summer Stage showcase featuring Jam dynamo’s moe. and Government Mule has been placed under the protective Paramount Theatre roof inside the Asbury Park Casino located on the Boardwalk’s Northern Beachhead directly across the street from the Berkley Hotel.

“Safety is first and foremost with an outside event,” wrote Brendle via Facebook.  “We apologize for any inconvenience to the fans.”

Is not being struck by lightning a fair trade off to those frequenters looking to light up in hopes of enhancing the experience?  Time will tell.

Doors for the event have been pushed back an hour to 6 p.m.  Both bands will still play full sets.  Government Mule will kick off the evening at 7 p.m. followed by moe. at 10 p.m.

Tickets are still available here.

Tomorrow’s performance is still scheduled to take place on the Summer Stage.  Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with moe. slated to open the night at 5:30 followed by Government Mule at 8:30 p.m.
