Rising alt-electro quartet Ghastly City Sleep are readying the release of their latest LP, Lulling Skulls. Mixed by Alex Aldi (Passion Pit, Bruno Mars) and Andrew Schneider (Cave In, Bear Hands), the band’s latest is an eclectic, electronic ride through a dark world of skittering snare and undulating beats.
Haunting, Massive Attack style vocals and ringing, Darkside style guitars set the somewhat sinister tone of the Ghastly City Sleep’s latest sonic endeavor, sampled primarily on their latest single “Differences in Electricities”. The track starts off in an otherworldly haze then explodes into a gorgeous crescendo looping back onto itself.
Stream “Differences in Electricities” below and catch Ghastly City Sleep at Black Bear Den in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on November 8th.
