Still riding the high from their September EP release of Afterglow, The Cold Seas hit the stage of Barclays Center last week in quite mesmerizing fashion. The group recently signed on with management powerhouse RocNation, so we should be witness to a steady upstream trajectory for this quartet from Asbury Park.
The show was hosted by Tidal, featured a few rising acts in the fold and was streamed live to all its subscribers. Watching a couple of acts backstage the quality of the stream looked incredible. Set times were short, capped at twenty minutes each for the tidal rising bands, and with my face planted in the viewfinder during The Cold Seas set, I must relive the visual through the photos as well.
The boys sounded incredible. Chad, Eric and Matt looked like they owned the big stage, and with prior tour commitments already set in stone for drummer Nash Breen, Sam Bey joined in without missing a beat. Look for good things to happen in 2016 with this bunch. A full length offering is in the works and undoubtedly more touring as well. You can catch The Cold Seas at The Saint on December 22. Stop by and say hi, get down and wish them well.
