I recently caught up with River City Extension frontman Joe Michelini for what I thought was going to be a promotional piece to preface the Jersey Shore Music Festival, which is slated to kick off on July 20th at First Energy Park in Lakewood. However, what ensued was a much more in depth and personal conversation about the band’s forthcoming LP, Deliverance, the state of River City Extension and its primary song writer over the past year, the responsibility the group feels toward the Jersey Shore arts community, and much more.
