The Annual Light Of Day Festival, a week-long music event sponsored by the Light Of Day Foundation (LODF), Asbury Park Press, Ansell, Grimm & Aaron, and ShopRite and used as a vehicle to raise money for the fight against Parkinson’s Disease, has announced a return to the Asbury Park Boardwalk after damage to the Boardwalk’s Convention Hall earlier this summer spurred rumors about a relocation to the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank.
Earlier this week The LODF announced that its Light Of Day Festival, which will feature 28 events and more than 100 musical performances, is slated to make its return to our musical hub by the sea on Sunday January 12th and run until Monday January 20th, highlighted by the Main Event on Saturday January 18th at Paramount Theatre.
The Main Event, which last year featured appearances by The Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon, as well Joe Grushecky, Willie Nile, Jesse Malin, Garland Jefferys, and a closing set by Darlene Love, will be headlined by Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik, who acted as the bill topper in 2008.
Tickets for the 2014 Light Of Day Festival will go on sale this Saturday (November 2nd) at noon and WILL SELL OUT. Pick yours up through Ticketmaster.com or by contacting the ticketing conglomerate by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
