A Deer A Horse are inevitable and their season approaches once again. Hard to believe its been over four years since I first saw this band featuring Rebecca Satellite, Angela Phillips and the subsequently added Dylan Teggart and it has been a joy to watch them hone their chops and style and develop a fan base nationwide tour after tour.

Now, A Deer A Horse are hitting the summer hard with a new EP, Everything Rots That Is Rotten, led by its single “Smokejumper.” A feeling of dread pervades the track as Satellite aims her unflinching gaze on “Adam” as the jagged, sludgy atmosphere sends black waves crashing higher and higher until you’re fully consumed.

Listen to A Deer A Horse’s “Smokejumper” below and look for them out on tour starting next week. Everything Rots That Is Rotten is out June 21st via Corpse Flower Records here.
