Sometimes you just catch me on a good day. Sometimes you catch me when I’ve got a serious cough, just gotten shrapnel taken out of my heel and dealing with unmerciful bug bites from the Holiday weekend.
With that said, I’m not the garage-indie-black-jeans abiding rockist I may appear as at first blush. Why am I making this all about me?
Well, typically I don’t cover songs that have been out for a year and a half from Argentinian folktronic artists, and yet here we are. This is a we thing now.
Hailing from the land of cougars and contrast, Cielo Pordomingo has scratched at the surface of international notoriety with her most impressive single, “Beautiful Mind,” encapsulating the breadth of her capabilities.
The open pulsates with a static heart as Pordomingo coos above layering ethereal keys while distorting her voice. “Beautiful Hole” then cocoons slowly evolving to incorporate elements of the artist’s soul and folk origins fused with electronic beats and orchestral elements.
It has a really great Robyn/Björk vibe and I feel as though you should give Cielo Pordomingo’s “Beautiful Mind” a listen below. Con el amor de Nueva York.
