There is no escaping the uncertainty and disarray of modern life. Music is known to be a reflection of its time, and Cindygod, the moniker used by Andy Rauworth in collaboration with former bandmate Craig Nice, injects these sentiments into their balefully ambient single “Rhys”.

This is definitely not simple “feel good” music you’ll hear at a store, this is the result of emotional contemplation. The incessant drumbeat keeps the track steady while the mysterious vocals and angular riffs play their part in creating an aura of uncertainty.

This is the second EP that Rauworth and Nice have put out under Cindygod since their former group Gauntlet Hair disbanded in 2013, with an LP on the horizon. You can stream “Rhys” below and look for the EP set for release on August 14th via Fire Talk Records.
