Sometimes, feeling shitty can be compounded upon the purported outside perception that you are, in fact, indulging yourself in that feeling past the point of an arbitrary amount of time imposed by friends, family, etc. Get over it or get medded up is the fork in the road you’ll face if you can’t keep it to yourself, but even choosing which road to go down leads to its own sets of individual, potentially crippling challenges. Best to just keep it to yourself, you know?

In the case of New Brunswick-based rockers Eagle Daddy, internal strife begets impactful work as evidenced on their latest single, “Bummer.” The track serves as the lead single to Eagle Daddy’s forthcoming debut LP, You Should Try Jogging More, as warm, angular rhythms set up nimble fret waxing. It’s a pity party I’d actually RSVP to.
