Wasting little time in following up on the Natural Changes LP, Portland-based songwriter Jackson Boone is back with a new batch of psych-folk tunes. The eight-track Organic Light Factory is on its way and is led by the slinky, smooth, spiritual single “Mystic Winds (from the East).”

On the track, Boone sets off from shore down a river of acoustic strums, simmering rhythms and weeping lap steel leads. Boone’s delivery is a cross of Sea Change-era Beck and the more relaxed intonations of Gene Ween as entrances above the hazy atmosphere.
