Julian Fulton

Pretty much as long as SIMGE has been a thing, even back to the ol’ WordPress daze, we’ve been following the growth of the multi-talented songwriter Julian Fulton. Since then, Fulton has played several of our gigs, including our one and only CMJ showcase, honing his chops as a solo artist of late.

The fruits of that time spent challenging himself playing out alone have officially ripened as Fulton just announced the Battered Receptions EP. Featuring full compositions, the bulk of the instruments Fulton played himself, the short player is led by the incendiary “Howl” which finds the songwriter packing a powerful sonic punch ala Portugal. The Man with a message to match.

“‘Howl’ is a call to arms to both the beaten and the apathetic to make themselves heard, no matter how insurmountable the corruption or opposition appears, or how pointless it seems,” Fulton shared.

Stream Julian Fulton’s “Howl” below and pre-order the Battered Receptions EP, with portions of its sales going to the ACLU, here.

Julian Fulton tour dates:

4/21 – William Paterson University – Wayne, NJ
