It’s been almost two years to the day, give two, since we last featured NJ-rockers LKFFCT in these digital pages. Now, the band comprised of Max Rauch (vox/guitar), Keith Williams (vox/guitar), Brian Legentil (bass) and Ryan Baredes (drums), are gearing up to release their latest power-pop meets slacker-rock opus in the form of the Dawn Chorus LP.
The album is led by singles “Hatchling” and “Anesthesia,” two beautiful guitar-led gems that showcase LKFFCT’s brilliant talents and songwriting approach.
On the process of creating Dawn Chorus, Rauch shared with What Youth, “Well, I think we consciously set out to incorporate certain instrumentation that we hadn’t previously used before. I had originally thought that scheduling the guest performances would be a lot more difficult but it seemed to all fall into place. A big part of what I love about this band is how we always seem to challenge & push each other musically. We wrote a few full songs for this record that were scrapped because new material would surface and it better suited the album as a whole.”
