Lunch Ladies

It’s been a hot minute since we last heard from Asbury Park’s Glycerine Queens, who last performed at Asbury Lanes over a month ago. Front-person Cynthia Rittenbach, meanwhile, has started up on a new project with Matt Whitley called Lunch Ladies.

According to Rittenbach, “it’s a trio, we have a ton of songs/demos we’re recording on garageband. Im thinking we’ll write a bunch and then go into the studio. We really like Mac Demarco and The Pastels.”

Lunch Ladies recently dropped two debut singles, the hazy shoegaze rocker “You’re Not There” and “Sunset Strip (Take Me Away),” a dreamy, wistful pop lullaby. Stream them both below and look for more from the band here.
