Oceanator

More now than ever, it doesn’t seem far fetched to say the world is falling apart at the seams. But when you have your own internal struggles and afflictions, that doesn’t seem so ominous. Elise Okusami, from Oceanator, dabbles in analogizing that external world with her internal world in her new single “Heartbeat”.

Elise’s lyrics express a sentiment that we’re all familiar with, that sometimes all we need is someone by our side. This theme can be seen in lyrics that sit atop emotionally charged speeding guitar riffs with bass and drums that never fail to keep up.

This track has infectious energy, which is derived from Elise and her bandmates recording the rhythm guitar, bass and percussions together like a live performance. When Elise Okusami added her lead guitar and vocals independently, you get a product where the lead vocals and guitar that draw you in but never intrude on the overall melody.

You can listen to her new single “Heartbeat” below, as you wait for Oceanator’s debut LP entitled “Things I Never Said” to come out Aug. 28th on via Plastic Miracles. The first three singles are already available for streaming.
