Second Still

Despite moving from their original home in Brooklyn to the warmer climes in the city of Angels, three piece Second Still haven’t lost any of their post-punk/coldwave bite. Comprised of Suki San (vox), Ryan Walker (guitar) and Alex Hartman (bass), the band crafts dark, whirring, otherworldly atmospheres with each member taking up and trading off leading roles.

With a new, self-titled album on the way, Second Still is now sharing “Recover.” On the track, the talented trio gains power with each plucked note like some sort of post-punk behemoth emerging from a cold, black lake. Set up on Hartman’s driving rhythms, San’s mesmerizing vocals call out as Walker turns out one new buzzsaw set of riffs after another.

Stream Second Still’s “Recover” below and look for their LP out April 4th via Manic Depression Records.
