Surf Rock Is Dead

Surf rock is not dead according to Brooklyn-based duo Surf Rock Is Dead. Their sweeping, pulsating sound breathes with a shoegaze-pop quality that begs for the shoreline, whether it be former homes made in Melbourne or Chicago or their current Atlantic-side residence.

Kevin Pariso and Joel Witenberg update classic surf-rock aesthetics run through a dreamy, kaleidoscopic filter with their new single, “Anymore,” serving as the latest case and point. Surf Rock Is Dead will drop their debut EP on September 18th with a date lined up at Palisades on the 6th. Stream “Anymore” below and look for more from the band very soon.
