Last year I was taken aback when first introduced to the eclectic four piece TEEN as they opened for Islands at Baby’s All Right.

Since then and further touring, the band retreated from big busy cities, taking up songwriting residences in Woodstock, NY and Morehead, KY. It was at the latter location, after initial frustrations, that Teeny Lieberson found the liberated inspiration to begin to fully realize a bold new statement.

Love Yes is the new, forthcoming LP from TEEN spanning twelve tracks dealing with the complexities of and finding strength and pleasure in the life of the modern woman.

Latest single “Tokyo” rides dark, bubbling synth lines with a steady rhythm as the band rides that set up lock step with each other to achieve something undeniable, cool and confident. The harmonies, as always when talking about TEEN, are gorgeous and inventive on this new track with a chorus I can’t stop coming back to.

Stream “Tokyo” below and check out TEEN’s upcoming tour dates. Love Yes drops February 19th via Carpark Records with pre-orders available here.
