The '94 Knicks

OK. So, admittedly, any band with a name like The ’94 Knicks is going to be instantly favored by me. The Knicks’ run to the NBA Finals that year, and the OJ chase, represent some of my earliest sports memories with plenty of grainy, purely 90s shot recap videos airing on MSG for years to come.

It’s only appropriate then that The ’94 Knicks’ debut offering, “Marky’s Dilemma,” sports a nostalgic sort of aesthetic in evaluating efforts that ultimately didn’t work out the way you would have hoped. With Mama Coco’s Funky Kitchen’s Oliver Ignatius at the controls, The ’94 Knicks work up a Dinosuar Jr.-style rocker that burns right up until the last note.

The Brooklyn-based band plans on releasing new songs on the last Friday of the month for the foreseeable future so keep it locked here for more. Stream The ’94 Knicks’ “Marky’s Dilemma” below.
