It’s been almost exactly two years since Don Giovanni Records announced the addition of power-punk outfit Worriers to their stellar roster. Since then we’ve been hotly anticipating a proper debut LP. Well, looks like the wait is over.

Worriers will release Imaginary Life on August 7 which was produced by Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! and recorded & mixed by Marc Jacob Hudson (Saves The Day, Against Me!). Principle songwriter Lauren Denitzio is joined by Rachel Rubino (Bridge and Tunnel) and John McLean (Dead Dog, Todd Killingz) on lead guitars, Audrey Zee Whitesides (Mal Blum) on bass, Mike Yannich (The Ergs) on drums, and Lou Hanman (Caves) on backing vocals.

Lead single “They / Them / Theirs” is a hard charging blur of punk perfection as Denitzio calls into question society’s need to separate us all into defined constructs. Its pull is immediate and demands repeat listens. I recommend diving in head first below.

Also, Lauren if you’re reading this, here’s an open offer to guest blog on SIMGE anytime.
