The Long Beach Island based purveyor of emotionally charged alternative-rock known as Gin War is set to return with a new EP titled Piece of Moon, and prefaced that short form collection (which is due out Nov. 18th via Quiet Fire Media) with a lead single named “Still Mine”, a brief introduction to tortured missives that have made this Garden State outfit a must hear.
“Piece of Moon is an extension of our first EP,” Gin War guitarist Kyle Carrier said. “It tells more of the same story with a tragic twist. We grew, but only closer to some parts of life that we’d been dreading as the inevitable.”
“It’s louder, quieter, sadder, happier, sharper, bolder, and we delved deeper into the narratives we only touched upon on the previous release,” Carrier added. “Influences range from Weezer, Lemuria and Cheap Girls, to disease, loss, drugs, communication overload, and the island where we live.”
