The appeal of Thomas Wesley Stern remains the four-man string band’s ability to conjure a setting, to both mentally and emotionally transport the listener to a simpler, more rural scene where they are surrounded by friends and family who encompass a campfire, and croon in unison to the lush melodies and mutlti-part harmonies produced by this Jackson, NJ-based outfit.

The group possesses this masterful grip on a sort of songwriting with powers that cleanse the soul, build communities, and bring peace and a state of tranquility to the often turbulent psyche…and the four man string band’s latest work, a roughly recorded demo titled “Shake It Out,” is yet another Folk composition with the ability to shift your position.

Stream the SIMGEssential below and stay tuned for more from Thomas Wesley Stern who recently ventured to a Nashville recording studio to cut some new tunes for our listening pleasure.  They will be here soon, and SIMGE will be there to let you know about it.
