With such horrific circumstances surrounding the Jersey Shore’s 2012, starting off the new year in a jovial fashion was all too important, and thanks to such local music industry veterans like Danny Clinch, Tim Donnelly, and Tony Pallagrossi, about 2000 locals and denizens at heart were treated to On The Beach: A Sandy Relief Concert which brought the likes of My Morning Jacket, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon, Steve Earle, Joseph Arthur, River City Extension, and Nicole Atkins to Asbury Park’s Paramount Theatre.

MMJ’s Jim James made for many of the evening’s highlights and you can check out a pair of them below as SIMGE was on site to capture the caped maestro cueing up a more than proper cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Hungry Heart,” as well the frontman joining the Preservation Hall Jazz Band for a soulful rendition of “Louisiana Fairytale.”

SIMGE’s Kristen Driscoll was also on site to preserve the evening in photos…see her work below:
