SIMGE Staff Photographer Robert Juckett:

Steve Hackett played numerous shows this past November. I had the opportunity to catch 4 shows of Genesis Extended 2014 Tour in NYC/PHL/NJ. He was back by popular demand. This Tour was a part of his Genesis Revisited II Tour. Although renamed for 2014, the songs remained the same. All music in which Steve Hackett in which he recorded with Genesis. His last studio Album with Genesis was ‘Wind and Wuthering. I feel that without, there would be no Genesis. Just as with Phil Collins who replaced Peter Gabriel when he left the group. In 2015 after a short break, he will be back on the road in support of his new Album and promises to include Genesis. He has been on Tour for the last two years performing to sold out crowds everywhere he went. His Tour will come to an end when his show stops in South America in March 2015.

His performances this past November were some of his most energetic performances to date. I do not think that fans of all things Genesis will ever fade away. His shows proved that. Steve has picked up where Genesis left off and Genesis music is alive and well. This was his most successful Tour ever I am told. I hope for those fans who did not get a chance to Steve Hackett over the last couple of years will give 2015 a try. I know I will be there. The set lists varied a little from show to show and the fans loved every minute. The shows covered both the Peter Gabriel era and the Phil Collins era. Gary O’toole gave my son a free drum lesson after the soundcheck. I wanted to thank Gary for the opportunity !! Here is a look at their (basic) setlist from the shows I attended…

Dancing with the Moonlit Knight
Fly on a Windshield

The Fountain of Salmacis
The Musical Box
I know What I like (In Your Wardrobe)

The Band was awesome…

Steve Hackett has announced new dates for his next Tour (which begins in October of 2015) which will begin in the UK and Europe. The Tour will be called ‘Acolyte to Wolflight’. The show will highlight his solo career rom the last 40 years and will be adding more Genesis music to the setlist. Included here are a few pictures from all four shows…
