Local guitar legend Billy Hector shows no signs of slowing down now in his third decade of writing and producing a litany of great workingman’s blues tracks. The Orange, NJ native recently celebrated the release of his most recent effort Choice Cuts the only way he knows how in throwing a showcase party in an intimate Garden State venue. This time it was The Stanhope House that received the honor of hosting the evening, of which photographer Robert Juckett was on hand to document.

The performance also saw the first lady of NJ blues Suzan Lastovica admirably soaring over some adversity of which Juckett notes:

“Suzan struggles to walk and sometime needs help with going up and down on stage. She needs to sit while performing, but when she starts singing, all her pain seems to disappear when she performs with Billy. Little bit of magic.”
