Pre-Green Day Band The Lookouts (Tre Cool, Billie Joe Armstrong, Larry Livermore) To Be Reissued By Don Giovanni Records

Before Green Day started making concept albums and stage plays, or making music together at all, Tre’ Cool was a 12-year old drummer providing pummeling rhythms for current musician, writer, and world traveler Larry Livermore (founder of Lookout! Records) for a slop-rock punk outfit from the hills of California named The Lookouts.

On March 10th New Brunswick’s Don Giovanni Records will once again team up with Livermore (who also released his first book Spy Rock Memories on Don Giovanni in 2013) to reissue a double LP named Spy Rock Road (And Other Stories), which was first released in 1989 during The Lookouts six-year run from 1985 to 1990.

The Lookouts didn’t just have Green Day ties with Cool, but to Billie Joe Armstrong as well, who makes several appearances on Spy Rock Road (And Other Stories).

Get a taste of what’s to come again below with The Lookouts single “Story” below and pre-order the limited edition green vinyl reissue from Don Giovanni Records here.
