With the indefinite closure of Starland Ballroom, national touring acts are in search of new houses of music in Central Jersey to find solace, and they’re finding them in Red Bank and Asbury Park.

On February 6th through 8th, the renowned children’s television show-turned live extravaganza, Yo Gabba Gabba, will venture to the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank (6th) and New Brunswick’s State Theatre (7th and 8th) for six shows at 3 and 6 p.m. on each date.  The show will feature Hip-Hop legend Biz Markie and tickets can be purchased here.

Meanwhile, Westfield, VT globetrotters Grace Potter & The Nocturnals have also announced a performance at the Count Basie Theatre slated for February 22nd (tickets available on December 8th), while Canadian EDM maestro Datsik will be venturing to Asbury Park on January 18th for a performance at storied Convention Hall.  Though the show overlaps with the Light Of Day Festival, it has not yet been revealed if the appearance is part of the event or merely a coincidence.  Regardless, tickets are on sale on Friday at noon via Ticketmaster or The Stone Pony Box Office.
