Volume 1 of the long-awaited SIMGE Covers series has finally emerged with an inaugural EP in which some of our favorite locals, including New Brunswick punks Holy City Zoo (“Feel Good Hit of the Summer”), Monroe, NJ rockers Tango Machina (“How To Handle A Rope”), and Asbury Park’s own The Black Clouds (“Monsters In Parasol”), have reworked their favorite selections from the catalogue of Stoner-Rock royals Queens of the Stone Age.

The collection also contains an emotionally stirring rendition of “First It Giveth” by Readymade Breakup frontman Paul Rosevear and an acoustic performance of “The Long Slow Goodbye” by local rockers The Purple Suns.

Stream and download the five-track collection below and leave a comment to let us know what band you’d like to see featured in Volume 2.
