SIMGE On The Scene: Creeptones, Dollys, & Climbing The Walls Rocked Happy Mondays (PHOTOS)

With the summer quickly slipping away like sand through your fingers, Happy Mondays kept the good vibes going with yet another strong bill. Creeptones, Dollys, & Climbing The Walls all took the Wonder Bar stage with our dedicated photographer Phil Shepherd on hand to capture all the action. Mr. Shepherd shares:

“It was a night of power pop, jangly guitars and sweet harmonies. I was a bit worried when Climbing The Walls took the stage without a bass player but they pulled it off without missing a beat. Going to like seeing this local crew with its full complement of players. Creeptones lit up the stage with their infectious smiles, obvious that they were having a great time. Their harmonies are second to none. I think “Roy G Biv” is one of my new favorite songs. Dollys brought to our attention how everyone says they sound like the Beatles….whether this was a joke or not I do not know but none of the groups on the bill sounded like the Beatles…They each had their own distinct sound which made this night truly enjoyable. And I got to hang out with CoolDad!”
