A yearly revival and a sendoff mixed in with some ripping local bands, held Wednesday at Asbury Lanes proved to be just what the doctor ordered to grind through the mid-week hump.
Making their return to the stage, the band Bradley Cooper opened up the festivities. The group features Joe Parella and Jon Rodney of Deal Casino, Erik Romero from Dollys on guitar and Lakehouse engineer, Tim Pannella on drums. They sounded very together for not having played in over a year, A tale showing how good they are.
Goodbye Tiger, The Cold Seas and Hodera took the in between slots. These three groups on their own form a great bill and they all turned in some amazing music. First time seeing Hodera, I have heard some great things about them and they certainly lived up to the hype. The Cold Seas are fresh off a new EP and a rebranding of sorts, A new website and getting in on the social media frenzy as well.
I cannot help being smitten with Dollys. There is pure joy coming out of the trio that is readily visible on stage and their music stays with you long after the show is over. Fresh off the release of their new video, ‘I Know” the group is hitting the road for a three week tour. I can certainly get used to their kick off parties. This is the second one they have hosted and both were incredible.
