“Every Thursday Dreamscapes Music present an Original Music Showcase at McIntyre’s Pub in Toms River, NJ. If you are unfamiliar with this Bar/Eatery tucked into a strip mall just off Route 37 East that may be soon changing. It is a favorite of the locals because it is not well known to outsiders and shore visitors, but that may be changing with their weekly music showcases. The locals may not be thrilled to give up their secret, but the local music scene will surely benefit.

This week’s showcase featured three local artists. Foggy Mornings, a blues band with a hint of Southern Rock. Highlighted by a wicked 4 string box guitar by Brian Ordonez, the groups set included a couple of jams with 24 hour songwriting participant Bil “1L” Facciponte. 1L is a Ukulele strummin’, hip hop rapper and as strange as this combination sounds, he makes it work! His set was highlighted by his 24 hour entry “Watch It”.

Solo artist Jeff Luke finished up the evening with an acoustic set that sent me to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. The best part of it was They Might Be Giants also popped into my head at the same time. Thank you Jeff!

It is noteworthy to add that the showcase on Thursday, October 30th will have Prehistoric Forest and Dentist on the bill along with The Hive-Mind and The Places you’ve Been. It is a Halloween bash and a perfect way to start your weekend, especially if you will be hitting The Wonder Bar on Halloween night!”
