SIMGE On The Scene: Karmic Juggernaut, Irate Primate, & Stranger! Danger! Jammed Happy Mondays

From SIMGE staff photographer Phil Shepherd:

This month seems to be flying by, My adventures at the Wonder Barā€™s Happy Monday series has just completed its third show of the month.

Stranger! Danger! I have always been a stranger to the sounds of electronica music, or in the case of Stranger! Danger! Jamtronica. Samples and trackbacks and lengthy jams from this trio. The incorporation of a saxaphone into the mix was a nice touch and the acoustic drums kept them separate from the club music genre.

Irate Primate ā€“ The bearded ones set lived up to their name, pure Rock nā€™ Roll, aggressive, short, stout and straight forward music. They were having a good time on the stage and the crowd enjoyed them.

Karmic Juggernaut is a band of musicians, for musicians. They were good, and they knew it but did not show it and this was very comforting. Each member has chops that would make the average musician drool for. For me personally, the righty drummers left hand was a thing of beauty. The bass and drums were incredibly tight and held things together through every time change. Progressive fusion, absolutely worth seeing again and again. They will be performing at the upcoming Super Groove Music Festival.
