SIMGE Staff Photographer Phil Shepherd:
It was a great night at this week’s happy Mondays as we saw two New Jersey bands that just returned home from short tours and a Philly headliner.
After a short run through Canada Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son played a very spirited set featuring straight up high energy New Jersey Rock n Roll. While continuing to do shows between NJ and NY throughout December, it was just announced they will be performing at the Asbury Music Awards on December 18 at the Stone Pony.
Lost Romance recently returned from a three week trip through the southland. Band member Gerri Perlinski just took part in the SIMGE getting to know you survey found here. A self-proclaimed Rush fan who admits that his music may not show it, I certainly picked up a few points in the set where the influence was unmistakable.
Thee Idea Men brought their quirky, fun and very talented show from Philadelphia and cemented what was apparent from the beginning of the night. Everyone was Happy on a Monday.
